Tamosoft CommViewCommView network analyzer, CommView remote agent en CommView for WiFi

CommView van tamosoft is een netwerk protocol decoder waarmee het netwerkverkeer kan worden geanalyseerd.  In de markt worden verschillende termen gebruikt voor protocol decoders. Dit zijn: protocol analyzer, network sniffer en packet sniffer.

CommView decodeert de volgende protocollen:

CommView functionaliteit

Overzicht van de CommView functies (in het Engels):

  1. View detailed IP connections statistics: IP addresses, ports, sessions, etc.
  2. Reconstruct TCP sessions.
  3. Map packets to the application that is sending or receiving them.
  4. View protocols distribution, bandwidth utilization, and network nodes charts and tables.
  5. Generate traffic reports in real time.
  6. Browse captured and decoded packets in real time.
  7. Search for strings or hex data in captured packet contents.
  8. Import and export packets in Sniffer®, EtherPeek™, AiroPeek™, Observer®, NetMon, Tcpdump, hex, and text formats.
  9. Configure alarms that can notify you about important events, such as suspicious packets, high bandwidth utilization, unknown addresses, etc.
  10. Create your own plug-ins for decoding any protocol.
  11. Exchange data with your application over TCP/IP.
  12. Export any IP address to SmartWhois for quick, easy IP lookup.
  13. Capture loopback traffic (a new, unique feature in version 4.1).
